Minnie Klepacz completed her Bachelor Degree in Adult Nursing & Midwifery in the Philippines in 1999 and moved to the UK in 2001 where she work as a staff nurse, then worked as clinical site manager for almost 9 years at The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation. She managed overall co-ordination of patient flow within the hospital sites out of hours in accordance with the operational policy for the management of emergency and elective patient flow, ensuring patients requiring hospital admission are placed in the most appropriate bed for their requirement.

She currently works as an ophthalmology matron in University Hospitals Dorset where she led in development of nursing, advanced clinical practice and allied health professional leadership roles to transform Ophthalmology service to meet rising demand. She consistently drives excellent clinical quality standards by providing inspirational and visible clinical leadership to the clinical team and supporting them in assuring the delivery of a contemporary, high quality, progressive, effective and evidence-based nursing.

She is chair of Black Asian Minority Ethnic Staff Network of her Trust. She was recognized in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List and was awarded the British Empire Medal “for her tireless work to support her colleagues and community during the COVID-19 pandemic” and for services to Nursing during Covid-19. Many of her colleagues described her as a true professional and the “epitome of a compassionate leader.”

Outside work Minnie is the national interim Press Release Officer of Filipino Nurses association in UK.
